Canyoning involves walking, scrambling, climbing, jumping, abseiling and/or swimming through a canyon. Due to the limestone rocks found in the Tramuntana mountain range, Mallorca boasts many canyons that have been carved out over millions of years by water. These narrow gorges, with beautifully sculpted walls and waterfalls provide a striking setting

The Torrente de Na Mora has been formed by the rain that falls from the Puig Mayor (Mallorca’s highest mountain) and finishes in the sea.
We start our excursion in Port Sóller with a 15 minute drive to the Mirador de Ses Barques.
From here it’s just over an hours walk into the Balitx valley, past the old farmhouses to the riverbed, where we enter the canyon.

The canyon is divided into two parts; the first part has some cool jumps and abseils.
The second is more challenging and has several nice features such as “Sa Fosqueta” and the exit to the sea.

We return back to Port Sóller by boat. (approx. 30 min)
