Three Peaks Walk

This 13km circular walk from Cuber reservoir takes you over three 1000m plus peaks and offers magnificent views of the Orient Valley and the two island reservoirs before descending to Coll de l’Ofre and returning along the GR221 to the start point.

After a 30 minute transfer from Port Soller the walk begins by the entrance to Cuber reservoir. We cross the torrent and ascend the eastern side of sa Rateta, the first of our 1000m peaks (1113m). The view affords stunning vistas of both Cuber and Gorg Blau reservoirs.

We then descend on a southerly path to the Coll des Gats. The path down is steep and rocky, we strongly advise walking poles for this excursion. Our second peak, Na Franquesa rises up to 1067m. Again, we enjoy spectacular views across the valleys on both sides. We stop for lunch along the way.

Maintaining the southerly direction we descend to the Coll des Cards and ascend through a wood of pines to the third peak of Puig de l’Ofre (1107m). Pausing here there are views to the Soller Valley and the Port. We then descend to the Coll de l’Ofre, joining the GR221. It is a gentle downhill route to the reservoir and eventually the start point. There is a transfer back to the port.

Terrain: Rocky with loose stones in places and some sharp descents. We have some walking poles available for use. Please ask about them when booking.

Requirements: 1.5 / 2 litres water, snacks, light weight, comfortable clothing, hiking shoes or boots. There is very little shade on this hike, we recommend a hat or cap and sunscreen.

Included: Transport from our shop in Port Soller to Cuber reservoir and the return journey. If you are staying in Soller, we can collect you from the petrol station on the MA-11 road.

Guides: Our guides all live locally and tours are conducted in English and Spanish. We have a German speaking guide, subject to availability.
