What's included
This circular hike starts in the village of Bunyola, a 20 min. drive from Port Soller. Hundreds of pine trees, garrigue and holm oaks make up the incredible forest of Sa Comuna de Bunyola, one of the largest on the island of Mallorca.
We enter the village of Bunyola, going up quite a number of stone steps and continue from here onto the mountain paths. On our way we encouter many historical spots such as old silos, charcol hearths and cisterns, as well as a house built into a cave.
After walking through the shady forest we finally reach the top of Penyal d’Honor, at 819 meters’ altitude. This is the highest point of Sa Comuna, and the best place to enjoy the spectacular views over the fascinating landscape of Serra de Tramuntana. We descend again through the woods on an ancient trail, to reach Bunyola again at the end of our circular hike.
